nov 11 1994 the tunnel was the hottest friday night weekly, with superb techno beats all night & into saturday morning after-hours. guests incl. artist diana balton. the tunnel had at least 8 unique rooms. unisex bathrooms, including 1 with a bar. others guests circa 94-95 incl prince, naomi campbell, christy turlington, leo dicaprio and many many more.

nov 14 1994 china club on the upper west side had a popular monday night. guests incl mark messier, frederique van der wahl, alan barcoff & janet guss. 15 years later china club 2 on west 47th is purgatorio.

nov 15 1994 evan dando played solo acoustic at fez. songs incl. into your arms, my drug buddy & down about it. the late epic soundtracks opened with a heart-breaking solo piano set. guests incl REM's peter buck and sonic youth's lee renaldo. pick up some epic soundtracks - and swell maps - lps.

nov 18 1994 back to the tunnel for techno fridays. guests incl mickey rourke. Im not quite sure why i saw so much of mickey rourke, bridget hall, shannen doherty & carrie otis at clubs in fall, 1994, I guess we were just on the same mailing list or somesuch. upstairs vip and co-ed bath. huge mainflooor and back room. side silver room. downstairs cave and, early on, the railroad tracks.

nov 19 1994 I curated an art gallery show, Pierre-Marie Brisson at the Bowles-Sorokko gallery on west broadway in soho. the genius director robert altman attended.
* afterwards the party/reception at EXPO club in Times Square. guests incl. John Flanagan. has fanny seen what a guido fest his tavern in southampton has become.

nov 23 1994 Disco 2000 at Limelight, a special pre-Thanksgiving blow-out with Orbital!! fabulous night . 15 years later orbital is back on the uk rave/festival circuit. the brown and orange lps will always be their best.

nov 24 1994 my first vegetarian thankgiving. 15 years later ive never looked back, i will be vegetarian for the rest of my life.

nov 26 1994 EXPO Saturdays was 1 of the more happening weeklies in autumn, 1994. guests incl rachel peters, lizard cohen, & nina ford richter. top track inikamoze 'here come de hotsteppa.'

nov 29 1994 jackie 60 every tuesday at Mother on west 14th street. guests incl mike renchiwich, kitty boots, miss guy, lady bunny, johnny dynell. the popular MFer party got its start at Mother in the late 1990s. meat packing has changed so much in the 21st century. mpd now is mostly cielo [coxy thurs] and sometimes kiss and fly. 1oak...umm.

nov 30 1994 disco 2000 at limelight, the infamous debauched freak-a-delic wednesday night weekly feat. michael alig, richie rich, keoki, astro earl, james st james, mykul tronn, heather summerfield, and so many more glam scenesters. you realize that nightlife doesnt exist in ny and phila in 2009 compared to a party like disco 2000. rent 'party monster' and 'kids' it was muuuucchh wilder.


favourite art shows in nov 1994 incl. 'pre-impressionism' and willem de kooning at metropolitan museum of art. christian marclay at fawbush in soho.

my favourite LP in nov 1994 was suede's Dog Man Star. imo the 90s greatest lp. 2nd best;p morrissey 'vauxhall and i'

my favourite TV show was melrose place every monday night.
