EDIT #1 lucy liu by lindbergh. this is embarrassing. yes the olympics are in china summer 2008. so they cast lucy liu and set it in a stadium? with rachel zoe styling? this is as corrupted as I have seen lindbergh in HB. zoe was mediocre in july with c murphy but this is gross. the clothes are a mess & tawdry. wow this sucks 1 of 10.

edit #2 ali stephans, aline weber & anna j by terry tsiolis. there are a few decent things here. i like ali even if her expression is gaping-jaw in too many pics. but cute. and aline weber is a good girl but also should be better than here. anna j, I thought she was a lot better than this. brana wolf's styling looks more inconsistent than some times but can be good in parts. or maybe its the callow-ish girls that make this look less-than-perfect? Dunno the pics seem good tho. I do like seeing fresher girls howevs. Its far from perfect but its a 6.8 of 10

edit #3 toni garrn by sundsbo. now this is more like a classic quality HB edit. in fact the desert setting looks like lindbergh. not sure why garrn isnt more famous/ doesnt see more work but she sure is pretty. even with this fried frizz hair. the makeup is cool and pastel-y with the dsert colours too. and cortina's styling is also more like classic HB. good stuff here 7.4 of 10

EDIT #4/cover. jessica biel with designers. by lindbergh. man another lindbergh flop in this ish. yikes. biel is one of the hottest actresses. she should be in bikinis or panties or something. even vogue knew to do that with charlize/testino and even jenn connolly for christsakes. instead this is some kind of 'broadway musical' schtick with DVF, posen [remember when he was cool circa 2000? he has actually turned into isaac mizrahi & he said that was his biggest fear!!], wang, ODR & costa. actually oscar & costa come off pretty well cos the pics are less embarrassing. the cover: newsstand is classic 70s HB, its ok; the mail cover is more broadway and kind of blah. HUGE disappointment considering how hot biel is. maybe W will let thompson or someone shoot her nude & the world will smile again. 4 of 10.

EDIT #5 accessories/surreal thing by toledo & burbridge. its adequate but somehow i think HB in 1958 would have done this about 1000 X better. but you knew that. 5 of 10.

VERDICT: other than toni garrn, ali s & aline w there is not much to even discuss in this aug HB. and lindbergh has never been so bad in HB: jess biel is a genuine 08 hotty but they blew it bigtime. and Lindbergh's 1993 stuff was some of the world's best. sundsbo even copied PL's style here. mama said there would be days like this. ONE MILD THUMBS DOWN.
